You know the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words?" Well, in Scouting, camping is worth (maybe not quite a thousand) but lots of hours of book learning.
Boys are wonderful beings who crave the outdoors, adventure, fresh air, trying new things, testing boundaries, and learning confidence when they "survive the wilderness."
Troop 608 - like all Boy Scout troops - puts a priority on outdoor experiences. Each month (at least) the boys will have adventures whether it be camping, rafting, hiking, climbing, exploring, orienteering, or even spelunking!
